Adoration is a quiet time spent in prayer before Jesus present in the Eucharist.
A Consecrated Host is placed in the center of a sacred vessel called a Monstrance.
The word Monstrance means "to show."
The Monstrance is then set in a very special place for all to see and worship Jesus present body, blood, soul and divinity in the Consecrated Host or "Blessed Sacrament".
Eucharistic Adoration is simply time spent with Our Lord: praying, listening, resting, or just being with Him. No special words are required — only your presence.
Many parishioners share that even one hour a week before Jesus brings peace, healing, clarity, and renewed faith into their lives. At The Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe, we invite you to consider serving Jesus and His Church by committing to a weekly hour of Adoration, or by being available as a substitute when needed. Whether you are new to Adoration or have been serving for years, your presence matters. All are welcome to come at any hour.
